Lyndsay Jordan – PSW, Owner / Operator

Lyndsay Jordan is the owner and operator of Branches of Life. With 9 years of experience gained as a Personal Support Worker since graduating from Medix College in 2011 - Lyndsay worked in long-term care and in the community for 5 years before wanting to open her own small business. With help from Starter Company through the Brantford Resource Center, Lyndsay built Branches of Life from the roots up.

Lyndsay strives to build relationships that will last on a foundation of trust, confidence &
reliability. She is very active within her business by providing services to those who strive for
independence and everyday companionship. Along with her team of staff, she provides care
for as young as 2 years old - to 105 years old.

Lyndsay brings her many years of customer service and health care skills into her everyday life and looks forward to learning something new each day. As an active member of her community, Lyndsay volunteers her time weekly as a Brownie Leader, and is continuously donating her time and strengths into making sure people are living well and safely. One of her biggest job skills is home organizing, extreme cleaning and organizing donations and drop-offs. This is something that she excels in and strives to help people live better. When not working respite or companionship visits, you will find Lyndsay reading, antique collecting, house-flipping with her husband and ATVing.

Eden Haskett – Personal Support Worker

As a PSW graduate of Westervelt College, Eden Haskett started with Branches of Life as a student and demonstrates her personal beliefs when giving care to her clients by showing compassion, kindness, and continuous respect. Eden feels honoured to work for Branches of Life and feels Lyndsay Jordan has built an amazing home care business that goes above and beyond normal home care practices - which she feels honoured to be a part of.

As a busy Mom of two boys, an avid reader and a soccer player - Eden has a deep desire to give back, help, and support those in need. She chooses to work in the community because she aims to give the best possible care without feeling rushed, knowing that she has the time to do what needs to be done, while also being able to spend quality time with clients.

Like many past clients can attest to, Eden provides a high standard of comfort and care that will give your family and loved ones peace of mind and the support you need. Lisa Hayes - Recreation Therapist / Respite Worker

Lisa has worked with Branches of Life for 4 years, has a degree in Gerontology from
McMaster University, a diploma from Canadore College in Recreation Therapy and is also certified in Dementiability. Lisa provides exceptional care and support to her clients as though they were family - as she is very much inspired by her admirable Grandmother Jessie, her husband Chris, two teenage daughters, a dog named Bubba and a cat named Roxy.

After a busy day of providing care and support, you can find Lisa unwinding in her garden, listening to country music, and watching sunsets. On the weekend you’ll most likely find her at a rugby field or gym watching her girls play basketball or rugby, finding enjoyment in the simple things and unwinding with a glass of red wine.

Sam Jenkins – Personal Support Worker

Sam began with Branches of Life as a student from Westervelt College, where she graduated in November 2018 as a certified PSW. Sam has a great attitude in her work and home life and having been a manager for a large company for many years, she brings a great deal of dedication and teamwork to the company. Sam takes the initiative to get the job done with
the best of her abilities and goes over and above.

Sam has experience working with children with disabilities and anxiety disorders and she excels in the strength to move forward and make each day different to all of her clients. When Sam is not busy, you will find her with her husband Kyle, their 3 kids, and a new dog to chase around - all hanging out at the trailer, or having a kitchen party, Newfoundland style with her friends and family.

Sandy Matthews

Sandy is extremely dedicated to her clients, her family and her work - and we’re proud to say she has been with Branches of Life since day one. Having grown up with 8 brothers and sisters, as a recent grandma to Elliott (and loving every minute of it), and as an active weekly volunteer with her Brownie group; Sandy believes that each and every person deserves the best care possible and gives all of her attention to her work.

Sandy brings a spark of light to our clients and uses her fun and witty side to bring them to life. She is a great team player, loves any chance to have a family get together and recently she and her spunky siblings have been auditioned three times for Canadian Family Feud. We wish them all the luck!

Amanda Henhawk – Personal Support Worker

With 7 years of experience as a PSW, Amanda started her career in a nursing home and then made the decision to switch to community work. Within her past year spent working with Branches of Life, Amanda brings her whole heart into her work and believes that every person should be treated with the same trust and respect.

Amanda is an eventful story teller and loves to chat with her clients, has a strong personality, a great spirit, and can bring a room full of people into tears from laughter. When not supporting her clients and people, Amanda enjoys time with her bulldog Lucy and loves to go for long drives and listen to music.

Kelsey Wickson – Personal Support Worker, Restorative Care

New to the team, Kelsey has 3 years of experience as a PSW and firmly believes that all of her clients deserve the utmost dignity and respect while in her care. Inspired by a personal history of home-schooling and caring for family friends, Kelsey delivers exceptional, person-centered care. When she’s not working, you’ll most often find Kelsey baking, kayaking, relaxing at home with movies or spending time with her 3 nephews and 2 nieces.

Please note that all staff have insurance, TB Testing, Flu Shots, Valid Police Checks, and Valid Driver’s Licenses.
